Lykins Oil Donates Nearly $13K To Nature Center Through BP Grant Program

Lykins Companies Check Presentation

Lykins Oil Cos., through the BP Fueling Communities Program, has donated $12,500 to the Cincinnati Nature Center, a nonprofit nature education organization founded in 1965. It is the largest member-supported nature center in the country, with more than 100,000 visitors each year.

Fueling Communities provides grants to local organizations that are nominated by BP branded marketers to support the communities in which they do business. The program allows local marketers to support organizations that focus on health, education, youth, food and housing to spread charity and goodwill among neighborhoods in need.

As part of the program, Lykins Oil Cos. nominated the Cincinnati Nature Center to receive a grant for $12,500 on behalf of the BP Fueling Communities Program. The grant application was approved and the charity received a check for the monies.

Lykins Oil is a family owned and operated business headquartered in Milford, Ohio. The company was founded in 1948 by Guy Lykins Sr. and is now in the third generation of management. The company serves customers in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana as well as throughout the Midwest and the Southeast U.S.
