Stater Bros. Helps Salvation Army Raise $528K For Red Kettle Campaign

Stater Bros. helped The Salvation Army raise more than $528,000 this past holiday season. During the months of November and December, all 167 Stater Bros. supermarket locations in Southern California hosted the iconic Salvation Army bell-ringers at their stores.

“I always tell my employees to do the right thing for the right reason,” said Jack H. Brown, chairman and CEO of San Bernardino, Calif.-based Stater Bros. Markets. “Supporting The Salvation Army in their mission to help those in need during the holiday season is definitely the right thing to do.”

Added Deborah Knutson, public and corporate relations director for The Salvation Army in the western U.S., “We are so grateful to Stater Bros. Markets for their long-standing support of our Red Kettle Christmas Campaign. Our local programs rely heavily on the money raised through the red kettles to fund our social services at Christmastime and throughout the year. All kettle income ‘stays local’ to help people in the community where it is raised, so supporting The Salvation Army is a solid investment in helping others when and where they need it most.”
