Weis Markets has named David W. Gose SVP of operations. Gose will oversee the day-to-day operation and management of the Sunbury, Pa.-based grocer’s stores. He reports to COO Kurt Schertle.
Prior to joining Weis, Gose was senior director and regional GM at Walmart Ohio where he oversaw 92 stores and more than 30,000 full- and part-time associates. He has more than 24 years of retailing experience. Earlier in his career at Walmart, he worked as a district manager in the company’s Midwest and Northeast/Mid-Atlantic divisions. Gose earned a degree in business administration from Ohio University.
Weis Markets currently operates 166 stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, New York and West Virginia.
