Mass. AG Drafts E-Cigarette Regulations, And More…

According to the Massachusetts Food Association, new Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healy has released revised tobacco regulations that seek to regulate e-cigarettes as a tobacco product, placing the same restrictions on their purchase and use as those on tobacco cigarettes and also keeping them from being sold to minors. A public hearing on the regulations will be held April 23, and the AG’s office expects to file final regulations with the secretary of state later this spring…

Golbon, a national food service buying group in Boise, Idaho, has added the George J. Falter Co. of Baltimore, Maryland, as a new member. George J. Falter Co. was established in 1878, with candy being the main commodity. Currently owned and operated by a fifth-generation family, the company has gone from distributing candy and tobacco to being a full-line distributor. It warehouses and distributes frozen foods, beverages, dry groceries, automotive supplies, food service products, health and beauty aids and more…

The Bud Light Lime-A-Rita franchise continues its expansion with Lemon-Ade-Rita, a new summer seasonal flavor, a lemonade margarita-flavored alcohol beverage with a twist of Bud Light Lime. Bud Light Lime Lemon-Ade-Rita will be available in 12-packs of 8-oz. cans; four-packs of 16-oz. cans; and 25-oz. cans.
