As part of its ongoing commitment to help its customers include more fresh and healthy meals into their schedules, Ahold USA and its retail divisions announced the launch of Savory Fast, Fresh and Easy, a new digital content platform and magazine.
The first edition of Savory Fast, Fresh and Easy magazine is available in stores, online and via smartphone and tablet devices. The magazine is free to customers who use their loyalty card, and it will be issued four times this year, both in stores and online.
“Savory was designed to help make every day a little fresher, a little easier and a little more delicious for our busy customers,” said Amy Hahn, SVP of marketing at Ahold USA. “Savory is a go-to guide with inspirational recipes and meal solutions that help our customers save time, save money and eat well.”
The introductory issue of Ahold USA’s 120-page, full color Savory Fast, Fresh and Easy magazine highlights grilling favorites and fresh recipes for summer meals made easy. Regular inspirational features will include budget-friendly meals, recipes to cook once and eat twice, new twists on flashback favorites, questions and answers with a nutritionist and a “Take 5” feature, which offers five ingredients for a fast meal. Items used in recipes are tied to store promotions and will be tagged in store creating a “savory” customer journey that is easy to shop. Customers can access Savory through the websites of Ahold USA’s retail divisions or by downloading the free app, which is available to download for Apple, Android, Kindle and Windows devices.
