Angelic Bakehouse Expands In Northeast, And More…

Sprouted grain industry manufacturer Angelic Bakehouse will be significantly expanding its presence across the northeastern U.S. The bakery announced agreements with the four Ahold USA divisions (Giant Carlisle, Giant Landover, Stop & Shop New England and Stop & Shop New York Metro), as well as D’Agostino and DeCicco Family Markets. In all, 265 additional northeastern retail outlets will now carry the Angelic products. Milwaukee-based Angelic Bakehouse is a Global Food Safety Initiative-certified facility; none of its products are made with genetically modified organisms. In addition, all of its products are dairy free, egg free, nut free, soy free, sesame free and vegetarian. The company also produces private label products for major food retailers…

Fig Food Co. (FFC) has a new broker agreement with Advantage Sales & Marketing (ASM). FFC manufactures organic, plant-based soups and beans. Joel Henry, FFC founder, expects the partnership with ASM to make Fig Food a $4.5 million brand by year’s end, expanding FFC from approximately 550 to 1,400 outlets. ASM will represent FFC across all products and channels in the U.S.
