Lisa Ennis recently joined the staff of Mountain Dairy of Storrs, Connecticut, as director of marketing and sales. She brings more than 20 years of sales experience in food and beverage distribution. Ennis is a specialist in direct store delivery, having dealt with a variety of distribution and mass merchant channels. “Lisa brings the sales experience we need to continue to strengthen the Mountain Dairy brand,” said Paul Brody, CEO of Mountain Dairy. “Her experience with many different distribution channels in the food and beverage industry is key as we strive to get our products on more shelves throughout Connecticut.” Mountain Dairy and the Stearns family have produced and distributed milk and milk products locally and throughout Connecticut for more than 144 years. Stew Leonard’s has unveiled a newly expanded Cheese Shoppe, doubling its overall offering. The new shop features a curated selection of cheeses from around the globe. Stew Leonard’s annually sells more than 500,000 pounds of cheese. The new Cheese Shoppe offers the same favorites, but features an emphasis on award-winning “Made in the USA” cheeses alongside a selection of international cheeses. New York firefighter Chris Waters of Ladder 154 in Queens, New York City, has been named the winner of the annual NYC Fire Museum FDNY Firefighter Chef Competition. This top chef of the FDNY also won the grand prize of a year’s supply of groceries donated by Peapod by Stop & Shop. Waters and his colleagues recently received their first of many grocery deliveries, which included a variety of grocery staples and Peapod Meal Kits featuring Barilla pasta recipes. Recently launched in New York City, the Peapod Pasta Meal Kits by Barilla contain pre-measured ingredients. The kits are priced at $15.99-$23.99 and serve four to six people.
