Doris Italian Market and Bakery has opened a new North Palm Beach location. An official grand opening celebration, complete with food and wine tastings and a ribbon cutting, will take place Feb. 20.
The 22,000 s.f. location is the largest and the company says most unique of the six Doris Italian Market locations in Broward and Boca Raton, featuring two bocce ball courts, an outdoor café, a large selection of wines and a wine tasting machine, craft beers, coffee bar and cheeses from around the world. The new store also features a number of made-to-order products including pizzas, gelato and desserts that are made fresh daily on site and a homemade mozzarella station.
“We are thrilled to expand our presence into the neighborhood in North Palm Beach, especially with all that is new to this store,” said John Alfano, president of Doris Italian Market and Bakery. “With this location, we’re creating a relaxing, interactive experience in addition to the gourmet market offerings at our other locations. We’re elevating the shopping experience with our dine-in options and creating a space for people to gather and enjoy authentic Italian cuisine as well as play bocce if they so choose. This is truly a gathering place for the community.”
Doris Italian Market and Bakery locations feature fresh meats, an Italian-American deli, fruit and vegetables, seafood department with daily fresh offerings, Italian-American bakery with an assortment of goods baked daily, a catering service, wine department featuring a collection of wines from around the world and gourmet specialty groceries.
The North Palm Beach store is the sixth Doris Market in South Florida, joining locations in Boca Raton, Coral Springs, Hollywood, Pembroke Pines and Sunrise. Doris Italian Market and Bakery is located in the Shoppes at City Centre, 11239 U.S. Highway 1, North Palm Beach.
The family-owned company founded in 1947 is well known for hosting fundraising galas that benefit local nonprofit organizations.
