Wawa plans to hire more than 5,000 new associates during the next three months to cover its more than 700 stores across its six-state operating area.

Dave Filano, manager of talent acquisition at Wawa, said, “As we continue to expand and grow, we’re excited to fill these 5,000-plus positions with people who will quickly become part of the Wawa way. We’re specifically looking for individuals who want to join our team for the busy summer season as well those who might be interested in the start of a fulfilling career at Wawa.”

As part of the hiring campaign, every Wawa store will have job opportunities and, in addition, more than 100 Wawa stores will hold an open house.

Wawa says it is offering competitive wages, health benefits as well as flexible schedules and tuition reimbursement opportunities. In addition, through Wawa’s employee stock ownership plan (ESOP), associates share directly in the growth of Wawa. Today, Wawa is 41 percent owned by associates through the ESOP.
