Publix Super Markets will distribute a total of $3.73 million from its Food For All 2015 fundraiser to nonprofit organizations across its southeastern footprint. The annual event distributes funds to support programs that fight hunger and advocate for self-sufficiency on a local and regional level. This year, the campaign funded more than 175 charities across the Southeast.

“The Food For All fundraiser is an important way for Publix to target hunger at the point of need—especially in the communities where our stores are located. Each year our customers and associates rally in an amazing way during this campaign and to them we say, ‘Thank you,’” said Maria Brous, Publix’s director of media and community relations.

The Food For All campaign took place Dec. 3-24. Publix customers and associates contributed to the campaign by purchasing contribution coupons in $1, $3 or $5 amounts that were scanned during the checkout process and added to the purchase total. Food For All is a program of Making Change, a charitable organization that has partnered with Publix since 1988 to create a successful campaign, according to both organizations.

“We are honored to help facilitate this important Food For All fundraiser with Publix,” said Dave McConnell, president and CEO of Making Change. “Through this campaign Publix is helping the communities it serves and those in need. This is an important display of Publix’s commitment to corporate citizenship.”
