Topco Associates, IGPS Logistics Launch Total Pallet Management Program, And More…

Topco Associates LLC, a major retail cooperative in the United States, and iGPS Logistics, a  plastic pallet pooling service provider in North America, have expanded their business relationship to provide a Total Pallet Management program (TPM) to Topco’s member-owners and customers. The pallet management service involves handling all pallet platforms in the supply chain, including labor and equipment needed to perform the operation. The recent launch of a total pallet management program was modeled to fit the needs of Topco member-owners and customers. “Our TPM services are designed to improve dock efficiency, maximize value and re-establish control of pallet assets back to the retailer without operational disruption,” said Jeff Liebesman, CEO of iGPS Logistics…

Goya Foods recently donated 300,000 pounds of food to Catholic Charities of New York’s new Food Distribution Center, located at Catholic Charities’ South Bronx Community Center, 402 E. 152nd Street. The Food Distribution Center will service a network of community-based interfaith partner pantries and soup kitchens to assist the food insecure and hungry of the Bronx and Northern Manhattan. Once complete, the 1,050-s-f. site will have the capacity to receive, sort and distribute approximately 100,000 pounds of food per month, which equates to providing 80,000 meals per month to community residents. Goya will deliver a bulk order of products to the new center during each month throughout the year…

Purina Cat Chow announced that during July, its “Nutrition to Build Better Lives” program will deliver cat food to animal welfare organizations so they can continue to focus on helping cats become healthy and ready for adoption. For every bag of Purina Cat Chow purchased from July 1-31, one meal, up to five million meals, will be donated to Rescue Bank, a non-profit that distributes pet food and other supplies to local shelters and rescue organizations across the country.
