Dollar General Buys Walmart Express Stores, And More…

Dollar General has picked up 41 Walmart Express locations across 11 states in the South and Midwest. They are Almond Chickpea Cookie Dough and Black Bean Brownie Batter. Chef Franklin Becker says that all Hungryroot recipes are designed to maximize nutritional value while minimizing unhealthy fats, refined sugars, sodium, calories and cholesterol. Hungryroot is rethinking vegetables, creating simply craveable, wholesome foods that satisfy at every level, he notes. “I created Hungryroot because I’ve seen firsthand the effect that food has on people’s lives,” said Becker. “All of Hungryroot’s products recreate dishes people know and love with unique, nutritious alternatives.”…

The National Retail Federation has raised its full year sales forecast from 3.1 to 3.4 percent, citing improvements in the housing market, job growth and higher wages.
