NACS Launches Fuels Market Resources

Last updated on June 13th, 2024 at 04:54 pm

For each of the past 16 years, the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) has provided fact-based analysis of market dynamics to explain how gas is sold and the composition of the retail fuels industry. These resources are updated with exclusive consumer survey data each month and include additional backgrounders on key industry issues. NACS recently rolled out the 2017 guides at the Fuels Resource Center that address issues top of mind with consumers and the media.

“These resources provide transparency to the retail fuels market and help facilitate an open discussion about the issues impacting both supply and prices. And, we hope this resource can help provide insights and expertise on discussions that address the U.S. retail fueling industry,” saidNACS VP of Strategic Industry Initiatives Jeff Lenard.NACS fuels

According to the Fuels Resource Center, as 2017 began, gas prices were higher than they had been in each of the previous years. At the same time, 2016 ended with new car sales reaching a new high and motor fuels demand continuing to grow. However, there are a number of dynamics that could shift supply and demand (and prices), whether world events or from the annual spring transition to summer-blend fuel.

NACS will highlight a new resource from the Fuels Resource Center every week that touches on timely fuel-related topics.
