Boulder, Colorado-based Evo Hemp, a hemp food and beverage company, unveiled a new line of CBD-infused food products to complement its regular hemp food products and CBD tinctures and gel caps. The company’s goal is to make hemp foods and supplements more accessible and affordable. Its co-founders said industrial hemp has the potential to revitalize the U.S. agricultural economy and bring high-paying jobs to rural communities.
Evo Hemp has teamed up with the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota, one of the poorest communities in the U.S., and hemp activist Alex White Plume to cultivate organic hemp products. The goal of this effort is to bring economic prosperity to Native Americans. The company said it is simplifying the supply chain to provide organic hemp products at a discounted rate—up to 50 percent cheaper than other producers.
The company’s newest Native American-grown hemp products are:
- Evo Hemp CBD Bars are energy bars with 15mg CBD, 12g protein, 4g sugar and 5g fiber per bar. They come in three flavors: Cookie Dough, Mocha Chip and Brownie Chip.
- Evo Hemp Protein Plus CBD is a complete plant-based protein that’s supported by raw enzymes. It contains 15mg of CBD, 15-27g of plant-based protein, 7g of fiber and 2.6g of omega-3 and omega-6 per 30-gram serving. It’s made with just one ingredient: hemp.
- Evo Hemp Oil Plus CBD is cold-pressed from raw, shelled hempseed. Each serving contains 15mg of CBD, with 225mg of CBD per bottle.
- Evo Hemp Hearts Plus CBD contains 10 gram of protein, 15mg of CBD, 7.5g of Omega-6 LA and 3g of Omega-3 LA per serving.
