Key Food Stores Co-Operative Inc., a chain of primarily independently owned and corporate grocery stores, has opened its newest Food Fair Supermarket location at 701 NW 99th Avenue in Pembroke Pines, Florida. To celebrate, the store hosted a grand opening celebration on Thursday, Sept.19.
“We’re so excited to continue to grow our family of supermarkets and expand our footprint in the Florida market, while reaching new communities,” says VP of Business Development John Durante. “This Food Fair is another one of the 30 stores we plan to open in Florida. We hope that by bringing our standards of quality and service to the southeast, we’ll be providing both shoppers and independent retailers with the grocery experience they’ve been looking for.”
At 35,000-s.f., this new Food Fair has a variety of international products catering to the area’s multicultural community with bulk-buying options for customers. Shoppers will find a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, including organic options, in the large produce department. This location offers a full-service meat counter with a butcher onsite. Food Fair’s seafood department provides shoppers with both fresh and frozen items. The store also has a selection of hot and prepared food options in the deli department, and its bakery department features fresh desserts and custom-order cakes.
“We’re thrilled to be a part of the Key Food family of supermarkets and serving the Pembroke Pines community,” says store owner Kent Tavera. “We plan to continue our growth with Key Food by opening additional locations in Miramar and other areas through the end of this year.”
