MIDWEST: Skippy Peanut Butter Introduces 3 New Protein Products

The makers of Skippy peanut butter recently launched of three new products, providing consumers with more ways to add high-protein, plant-based and functional foods to their diets. Skippy Squeeze Peanut Butter and Skippy Peanut Butter Spreads, Skippy No Sugar Added Peanut Butter Spreads and Skippy Added Protein Peanut Butter will be available at select retailers across the U.S. this month. “We know consumers are looking for new ways to enjoy the peanut butter they love while still delivering on taste and product benefits,” said Jennesa Kinscher, Skippy brand manager. “We are thrilled to bring the first mainstream squeeze peanut butter and squeeze natural peanut butter spread to the category. It has already become a staple in our home for easy snacking, without the mess.”

The three new products will be offered in different varieties, too.

Skippy no sugar addedSkippy Squeeze Peanut Butter and Peanut Butter Spreads will be sold in a 6-ounce pouch, made for portability and versatility, starting in late June.

Starting in late June, too, Skippy No Sugar Added Peanut Butter Spreads will be sold in both creamy and chunky 16-ounce jars, made with three ingredients ­– peanuts, palm oil and salt.

Sold at select retailers nationwide, Skippy Added Protein Peanut Butter is available in both creamy and chunky 14-ounce squat jars, delivering three additional grams of plant-based protein per serving for a total of 10 grams of protein per serving.

Kinscher added that they’re just as excited for the new, unique packaging of both the squeeze pouches and the squat jars, helping to provide consumers a less messy solution for “the dreaded ‘peanut butter knuckles.’”
