URM Stores from Spokane, Washington, has named Roger Ohlhauser as the VP of operations, replacing Kirk Rollings who is retiring. In this role, Ohlhauser will be responsible for the warehouse, facilities and transportation departments.
Ohlhauser brings more than 30 years of experience and accomplishments as a manager and leader in the wholesale distribution business. His previous experience includes GM of logistics for Supervalu distribution sites located in Bismarck, North Dakota; Minneapolis, Minneaplois; and Billings, Montana. His most recent position was a GM position for Americold, managing a third party Kroger perishable facility, located in Denver, Colorado.
URM says it is excited to bring Ohlhauser on to support its overall mission of providing best-in-class service levels and continuing to drive efficiencies, which enables its member-owner customers to effectively compete in their markets and grow their businesses.
URM’s core business is the purchasing, warehousing and delivery of merchandise inventory to its member-owners through its patronage departments. Over the years, sales volume has grown to more than $1 billion and employment to more than 2,755 employees at URM and its subsidiaries.
