California-based Setton Farms’ pistachio products received three awards at the 2021 Kosherfest New Product Competition, including the Best in Show.
The extreme heat of Scorpion Pepper Seasoned Pistachio Kernels took the top spot in the Savory Snacks category. These no-shell pistachios are seasoned with Trinidad Scorpion Peppers.
This newest addition to the Seasoned Kernel line (which includes Salt & Pepper, award-winning Garlic Onion and award-winning Jalapeño) contains no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. Each variety is dry roasted with natural seasoning and each is a source of plant-based protein.

The Best in Show award was claimed by Setton Farm’s 100 percent Pure Pistachio Oil, which also won in the Spices, Oils and Vinegars Category. This versatile product is Kosher for Passover and year-round use.
It is handcrafted in small batches using traditional techniques. Raw and unfiltered, this oil keeps Setton’s pistachios’ color and fresh taste intact, and it may be used for dipping, incorporating into dressings and sauces, or as a finishing oil.

Kosherfest is the world’s largest Kosher-certified products trade show. From chain supermarkets to corner groceries, restaurants to caterers, more than 6,000 industry professionals attend the annual show at the Meadowlands Expo Center in New Jersey. The show is open Nov. 9 and 10.
