Lakewood, Colorado-based Natural Grocers is highlighting its largest sale of the year in celebration of its 68th anniversary. To mark this occasion, customers are invited to an “Anniversary Celebration” on Aug. 17-19.
“We are excited to celebrate another year of nurturing our customers with the best possible products at our ‘Always Affordable’ prices. We’ve come a long way since our humble beginnings, and we want to share our success with the people who have supported us through the years,” said Kemper Isely, Natural Grocers’ co-president.
“After 68 years, we still consider ourselves your friendly neighborhood grocery store where nutrition education and nourishing food that meets our high standards are warmly offered.”
A source of supplements and groceries since its establishment in 1955, the company has 164 locations in 21 states.
Savings and free items
From Aug. 17-19, customers can shop savings of up to 60 percent off on more than 900 products, including groceries, supplements and body care products throughout the store.
Customers who visit Natural Grocers from 3-5 p.m. on Aug. 17 can receive a free Alden’s Organic frozen dessert with dairy and non-dairy options available.
Sweepstakes
Natural Grocers members will have a chance to win more than $130,000 in prizes during the three-day event, including:
- a Tesla Model 3, or $47,000 cash (courtesy of C20 Pure Coconut Water and Steaz);
- a trip to Norway, valued at $11,000, courtesy of Nordic Naturals;
- a Specialized Turbo Levo SL Comp Carbon e-bike (courtesy of Kettle & Fire);
- a 10.9-inch Apple iPad (courtesy of gimMe);
- a Big Green Egg Charcoal Grill (courtesy of Ancient Nutrition);
- gift cards;
- vendor gift boxes; and
- free groceries.
To enter to win, customers may fill out the Anniversary Sweepstakes form available at all locations between Aug. 17-19.
Customers can also win a $500 Natural Grocers gift card by counting the purple balloon animal dogs sprinkled throughout the pages of the August good4u Health Hotline magazine, which can be found at any Natural Grocers.
For a chance to win, customers can complete the form in the magazine and return it to a local Natural Grocers by Aug. 31. A drawing among all entries with the correct number will determine the winner.
This sweepstakes is in addition to the summer sweepstakes taking place at the two Colorado Springs stores through Aug. 31.

Members of {N}power, Natural Grocers’ free loyalty program, will have access to additional anniversary promotions on Aug. 17, including:
- a limited edition 68th anniversary reusable bag with purchase; and
- one free Natural Grocers Brand Organic Chocolate Bar of all flavors, while supplies last.
Heroes in Aprons Fund
Natural Grocers will donate 1 percent of all sales on Aug. 17 to the Heroes in Aprons Fund. Established in 2021, this nonprofit provides financial relief to eligible Natural Grocers good4u Crew members during times of hardship due to circumstances beyond their control.
