E.&J. Gallo Winery has purchased Ledgewood Creek Winery & Vineyards in Solano County, Calif. The purchase price was not disclosed.

The 400-acre ranch is located just east of Napa Valley in the North Coast American Viticultural Area (AVA). It consists of approximately 230 acres of vineyard, which produces a variety of premium wine grapes, including Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir.

According to Roger Nabedian, SVP and GM of Gallo’s Premium Wine Division, “This portion of Solano County in the North Coast AVA can produce exceptional wine grapes. This vineyard is a great addition to our portfolio to support the rapid growth we have had in our premium wine business.”

There are no immediate plans to operate the Ledgewood Creek Winery or tasting room.
