  • Giant Food Stores in Carlisle, Pa., announced a partnership with its sister company Peapod to provide online grocery shopping services to more than 60 communities in greater Harrisburg and York, Pa. A new fulfillment facility in Camp Hill will service these communities. Approximately 50 new jobs have been created, which include personal shoppers and delivery drivers.
  • Stop & Shop has alerted customers to voluntary recalls of Joseph’s Bread Products and Nutrisca Chicken & Chick Pea Dog Food. The Joseph’s Bread products are recalled because the items may contain soy, an allergen not listed on the ingredient label, and the pet food items may have a potential Salmonella contamination.
  • Price Chopper announced that Robert Allen was promoted to director of insurance and workers compensation. He formerly was a workers’ compensation manager.
