SFA Adds Retailer Network Committee Members

The Specialty Food Association (SFA) has elected four members to its Retailer Network Committee for a two-year term.

“The committee’s mission is to build a community of specialty food merchants that facilitates communications and relationships among all constituents in our industry and helps all segments to grow and succeed,” according to Ron Tanner, VP of philanthropy, government and industry relations for SFA. “We welcome the new members, who are each outstanding retailers in their markets.”

Those joining the Retailer Network Committee for the 2014-16 term are:
• Patrick Crowl, Woodstock Farmers’ Market, Woodstock, Vt.
• Trip Straub, Straub’s, St. Louis
• Pete Marczyk, Marczyk Fine Foods, Denver, Colo.
• Liz Martinez, Bi-Rite Market, San Francisco

Six were re-elected to the committee:
• Jon Pruden, TASTE, Committee Chair, Virginia Beach, Va.
• Phil Myers, Central Market, Houston
• Emilio Mignucci, DiBruno Bros., Philadelphia
• Greg O’Neil, Pastoral Artisan Cheese, Wine & Bread, Chicago
• Linda Sikorski, The Pasta Shop, Oakland, Calif.
• Richard Tarlow, Canyon Market, San Francisco

Committee liaisons to the SFA Board of Directors are Patricia Lobel, Avenue Gourmet, and William W. “Pete” Booker III, Smithfield Specialty Food Group.

Those serving on the committee are members of the SFA, a not-for-profit trade association that represents all segments of the $88.3 billion U.S. specialty food industry and member companies abroad.

Ending their Retailer Network Committee service are Natalie King, Stonewall Kitchen; Sam Mogannam, Bi-Rite Market; Bob Sickles, Sickles Market; Maren Trocki, Fresh Market; and Larry Uhl, West Point Market.
