Mother’s Market & Kitchen, a natural and organic foods retailer with seven Orange County, California, stores, will hold a grand reopening of its Laguna Woods location at 24165 Paseo De Valencia on Saturday. Mother’s Market expanded the store by 5,000 s.f. and renovated it to accommodate increased traffic, customer demand and company growth.
As part of the remodel, the store’s foodservice department, which includes “grab & go” deli foods, a hot food bar and salad bar, was expanded. The body care and vitamin departments also were significantly expanded with extra aisle space to deliver a greater ease of shopping experience, along with expanded frozen foods, dairy and grocery categories, according to the company.
Additionally, Mother’s Market made other store upgrades, including new state-of-the-art lighting, which will offer energy savings and support California’s new Title 24 standards.
The renovation and expansion effort was led by general contractor Al Almond.
Saturday’s event, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., is free and open to the public and will include drawings for Mother’s Market grocery gift cards, raffles for gift baskets, special in-store deals and free samples from various departments. For children, there will be face painting and balloon twisters.
