The board of directors of Big Y Foods in Springfield, Massachusetts, has named Mathieu D’Amour as VP of real estate and development and Theresa Jasmin as VP of finance. In addition, Devyn Blais Webb has been promoted to accounting director.

D’Amour will continue to lead the real estate and store development teams to continue to identify new opportunities for growth. His oversight includes all areas of store design, project management, construction, facilities management and real estate portfolio. D’Amour began working at Big Y in 1991 as a part-time service clerk in the company’s East Longmeadow store. After completing his bachelor of arts degree from Kenyon College in 1999, he taught history at a Connecticut-based college preparatory school for two years before joining Big Y in Mansfield, Connecticut, as an assistant grocery manager. From there, he became grocery manager in Big Y’s East Hartford store until 2005, when he was appointed to store manager in Enfield. In 2005, he opened Big Y’s World Class Market in Ellington, Connecticut, as store manager. In 2008, he joined the facilities management team as design and construction manager where he completed two major remodeling projects until his appointment as director of store development in 2009. He reports to CFO William T. Mahoney. D’Amour has completed a course on commercial leasing from the Riordan School via the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Jasmin will be responsible for all accounting, finance, treasury, internal audit and tax functions for the company. She has more than 20 years of experience in the food industry. She began her career at Friendly Ice Cream Corp., where she held senior management positions in both treasury and accounting. She joined Big Y in 2005, holding positions of increasing responsibility in finance, most recently as senior director of finance.

As director of accounting, Webb will oversee all accounting and financial reporting, including budgeting and forecasting for the company. Webb began her career in public accounting with KPMG and later moved to internal audit at The Yankee Candle Co. In 2005, she joined Big Y as a senior accountant and was appointed to financial reporting supervisor two years later. Since 2010, she has been assistant controller. In addition, Webb is an adjunct instructor of accounting and finance at Western New England University.
