Salt Lake City, Utah-based wholesaler Associated Food Stores (AFS) and its Macey’s, Dan’s, Dick’s Market, Lin’s and Fresh Market locations will expand their relationship with Rosie to provide e-commerce curbside pickup to 33 of their locations by Oct. 31. The new service will be extended to locations from Cache Valley and Salt Lake City, to St. George.

Free pickup will be available on customers’ first three orders of $30 or more by using the promotion code “UtahCurbside” at checkout. Following the introductory promotion, the pickup rate will be just $1.99 per order, with a $30 minimum order.

“This is a massive step for our stores. We’re thrilled to offer our guests the added convenience of shopping online and picking up curbside.” said David Rice, AFS SVP and president of Associated Retail Operations, AFS’s wholly owned corporate subsidiary. “Rosie’s deep integrations, including with First Data for online payment processing helped make this expansion an easy decision. Rosie has continued to find ways to save money for retailers and expand convenience and usability for our customers.”

The AFS corporate store expansion is an outcome of the AFS e-commerce consortium, which includes AFS corporate store leadership, AFS member store leaders and other large regional chains like Brookshire Brothers of Lufkin, Texas, and Yoke’s Fresh Markets of Spokane, Washington.

AFS + Rosie“We are thrilled to support ARO’s online expansion which is the result of our strong partnership with AFS and Rosie’s emergence as the leader in eCommerce for independent grocers. Through our relentless focus on retailer success and product innovation, we have become the trusted online shopping platform for hundreds of stores across the US,” said Nick Nickitas, CEO and co-founder of Rosie. “Over the past year, we have invested heavily in providing integrated delivery services, Single Sign On—a best-in-class Clickable Weekly Ad—and an exceptional mobile shopping experience. These capabilities are not only critical for online shopping, but also increase in-store customer engagement, retention, loyalty and advocacy. Together with AFS and our other industry partners, Rosie is defining the next generation of online shopping technology and innovation for our industry.”
