The World Dairy Expo in Madison, Wisconsin, is the largest dairy focused trade show in the world. Since 1967, the expo’s Champion Dairy Product Contest has given dairy farms the opportunity to label their products the best in North America. This year, Crescent Ridge Dairy of Sharon, Massachusetts, took home four first place designations in the World Dairy Expo Championship’s 2019 Dairy Product Contest.
Crescent Ridge Dairy’s 2 percent white milk, whole milk, mint cookies and cream ice cream and coconut almond bar ice cream each were recognized as the best in their respected categories. Crescent Ridge Dairy’s whole milk not only secured the award for first place, but also received an unprecedented perfect judgment score of 100. The brand’s 1 percent low-fat chocolate milk, coffee milk, white peppermint stick ice cream and chocolate pecan chip frozen yogurt were also recognized—landing within the top three spots of their divisions.
“We are delighted to be recognized by our peers,” said Mark Parrish, the third generation to operate the family business. “These accolades are hard earned by our entire staff. We are proud to share our delicious dairy with customers throughout the Boston Area every day via our dairy bar, delivery routes and select retail partners.”
In 2009, National Geographic Magazine’s The 10 Best of Everything Ultimate Guide for Travelers featured Crescent Ridge as one of the 10 Best Ice Creams in the World. They would receive this same honor again in 2012. That same year, Food & Wine Magazine cited Crescent Ridge Dairy as one of the Best Ice Cream Spots in the U.S. In 2014, Men’s Journal would inform anyone left who wasn’t already aware of Crescent Ridge Dairy’s reputation by featuring them in their 27 Best Ice Cream Shops in America article.
Crescent Ridge Dairy’s products are available for home delivery in the Greater Boston area and directly from the dairy bar located on its Sharon, Massachusetts, farm. They can also be found on the shelves at Stop & Shop, Shaw’s/Star Market, Roche Bros., Whole Foods and other retailers in New England.
