Patrick Davis Rejoins FMI as VP of State Government Relations

The Food Marketing Institute announced May 27 the appointment of Patrick Davis as VP, state government relations. Prior to rejoining FMI, Davis served as president of Alliance Consulting LLC.

The Food Marketing Institute announced May 27 the appointment of Patrick Davis as VP, state government relations. Prior to rejoining FMI, Davis served as president of Alliance Consulting LLC.

Davis will serve as the principal liaison between FMI and state associations. In this leadership role, he will be the information conduit regarding industry resources, state-level legislation and policy trends. He will also be responsible for developing and communicating policies on behalf of FMI.

As president and founder of Alliance Consulting LLC, Davis served multiple clients (including FMI) on managing national trade association activities. In that role, he organized public affairs campaigns, facilitated share groups of FMI’s regional supermarket operators and helped clients promote their services to the supermarket industry.

Prior to founding Alliance Consulting, Davis worked as president of FMI’s North American Perishable Agricultural Receivers (NAPAR) group where he provided key information to U.S. congressional offices and federal agencies on issues pertaining to the wholesale distribution of fresh produce.

Before joining FMI, Davis spent six years working in government relations positions at the National Restaurant Association (NRA) and Safeway Stores Inc.

Davis earned a bachelor’s degree from the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University.
