Red Vines Celebrates Licorice Day With New Website, Sweepstakes

National Licorice Day is April 12, and Red Vines® Twists—the West’s No. 1- selling non-chocolate confection—will celebrate with the launch of an engaging new website and an online sweepstakes with Red Vines movie prize packs and a grand prize of $5,000.

The redesigned Red Vines website features an entertaining collection of videos, podcasts and images from Team Red Vines(TM), including skateboarding superstar Andy MacDonald, Red Vines TV segments, licorice portraits of Hollywood icons and funny parodies from the viral video sensation “Team StarKid,” such as the legendary “A Very Potter Musical” and the “Tasty Test” series. The site also includes links to Red Vines contests and promotions, a blog with the latest Red Vines news and events, a handy store locator and a pictorial history of nearly 100 years of Red Vines products and packages.

For customers and fans on the move, all of the content is accessible through their tablets, smart phones and other mobile devices.

“Red Vines is about fun and sharing, so we made sure our customers and fans could access all of our fun content and share it with their friends wherever and whenever they want,” said Michael Kelly, consumer communications manager for the American Licorice Co.

As well as being one of the most popular treats at work, at home, in school and on the go, Red Vines has been a quintessential favorite for generations of moviegoers. To honor this tradition, Red Vines National Licorice Day Sweepstakes will give away 100 Red Vines movie prize packs that each include two movie passes and an assortment of Red Vines Twists and Original Super Ropes® to enjoy and share, with one lucky winner receiving a $5,000 grand prize.

Red Vines is available at stores across the nation.
