For the third year in a row, San Antonio, Texas-based H-E-B was named the No. 1 top-rated workplace for retailers by job listing site Indeed.
The rankings are based on employer ratings and reviews by employees on Indeed. In its blog post, Indeed states that many employees appreciate the “tight-knit culture and family-oriented values.” One partner (employee) said, “H-E-B is by far one of the best places to work in the state of Texas. If you get hired here, it’s one job you would really want to keep.” Another partner says the company offers “flexible hours, fun environment and staff that cares.”
Rounding out the top five are Vans, Costco Wholesale, Nike and Wegmans. The full rankings are listed on the Indeed blog.
With digital consumerism leading to ongoing disruption within retail, H-E-B says it continues to strengthen its position as a digital retailer and brick-and-mortar business. In the more than 300 communities it serves, H-E-B supports efforts around hunger relief, public education, health and wellness, environmental sustainability, military and diversity initiatives.
As the largest privately held employer in Texas, H-E-B has 116,000 partners in its workforce and operates more than 400 stores in Texas and Mexico.
