The Arizona Food Marketing Alliance Education Foundation recently awarded $165,500 in scholarships to 99 individuals going to college in Arizona. The scholars include employees who plan to stay in the industry, employees wanting to better themselves through education and the dependents of AFMA member employees.

In partnership with Arizona State University, the AFMA Education Foundation also supports scholarships for the Food Industry Management Degree. This year, three AFMA member employees will be awarded $5,000 scholarships through the AFMA Education Foundation and they are: Katherine Hogan with the Albertsons Cos., Liliana Burgara with Sprouts and Amanda Hinkle also with Sprouts. Hinkle also will receive the Tim McCabe Scholarship.

A special scholarship recognition luncheon will take place on July 15 to honor the scholars and their guests.
