Sprouts Farmers Market will open in Trinity, Florida, on Wednesday, July 31, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony before the doors open at 7 a.m. The public is invited to attend the grand opening at the new 30,000-s.f. store, located at 8840 Strength Avenue.
The first 200 shoppers will receive 20 percent off their initial total purchase and muffin and coffee samples will be served to everyone in line before the doors open. Every customer on grand opening day will receive one free reusable bag with purchase.
Weekend shoppers are invited to explore new natural and organic products during Taste of Sprouts on Saturday, Aug. 3, when guest favorite and trending items, including a selection of exclusive Sprouts Brand products, will be sampled throughout the store.
The Trinity store features Sprouts’ newest operational and design enhancements that highlight department destinations and promote customer engagement throughout the store. In addition to the abundant selection of fresh produce at the center of the store that Sprouts is known for, eye-catching display cases at the Butcher Shop and Fish Market emphasize the department’s service where in-house butchers assist with custom cuts, handcraft sausages and offer meat and seafood seasoning. The Market Corner Deli in the enhanced store will feature a detached, rectangular island to optimize customer service and convenience with offerings such as made-to-order sandwiches, a salad bar, prepared foods, sushi made in-store and fresh juice. Sprouts’ Bulk Department is enhanced with a larger selection of items, including loose teas and coffee beans, freshly-ground nut butters, local honey and staples like nuts, grains and trail mixes all sold by the pound.
Local selection and zero waste
Sprouts has been a driving force for making healthy food affordable and accessible since its inception and has paved the way for numerous natural brands. The Trinity store will offer locally made products from brands such as Dakin Dairy, Kombucha 221 BC, McCoy’s Honey and Old Florida Gourmet.
As part of Sprouts’ commitment to “zero waste,” the new store will donate unsold and edible groceries to Feeding Tampa Bay through the grocer’s Food Rescue program. In 2018, Sprouts stores and distribution centers donated 27 million pounds of product, equivalent to 23 million meals. Food that is not fit for donation is provided to local cattle farms and composting facilities.
Sprouts’ evolving “zero waste” initiatives help minimize food waste while reducing the impact of hunger and the company’s environmental footprint.
