As families across the country gear up for the start of the new school year, Carlisle, Pennsylvania-based The Giant Company and Kellogg Company are teaming up to help those in need in central Pennsylvania.
The companies are each donating $5,000 to the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, for a total of $10,000. In addition, Kellogg is donating a semi-truck load of its cereals, including Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes, Kellogg’s Frosted Mini-Wheats, and Kellogg’s Froot Loops.
“We’re committed to making a difference in the communities we serve, and one of the key ways we achieve that is by collaborating with generous partners like Kellogg Company,” said Jessica Groves, manager of community impact, The Giant Company.
“Research consistently shows the connection between good nutrition and the ability to learn. With Kellogg’s support, we’re truly creating a better tomorrow for thousands of families and students in Pennsylvania.”
The Giant Company is also partnering with Kellogg to donate 1,000 books to local chapters of the Boys & Girls Club of America and YMCA.
“Through Kellogg’s Better Days, our promise to advance sustainable and equitable access to food, Kellogg shares The Giant Company’s commitment to feed and fulfill those in need and positively impact our communities,” said Mark Seagreaves, customer team lead, Ahold Delhaize USA, Kellogg Company. “We’re proud to stand alongside The Giant Company to help students in Pennsylvania and the rest of the country reach their potential.”
